Terms and conditions of entrance to the school

Intro
Budget Sector
 

  • Five-year basic arts' program (teaching from 1st till 5th grade)

    • The students are admitted on the 1st year of study as a result of a competition (by passing three tours). Applicants whose age and health condition are acceptable for Ballet studies are allowed to pass the entrance exams (first year of study is available for the pupils aged 9-10, who has completed 4 years of study at the public school).
       
      An application for applicant admission is written by parent (legal representative) and is addressed to a director of a school. Enclosure to the application is as follows:
       
    • Notice from the school (indicating the current grade of the student)
    • Copy of the Birth Certificate
    • Three photos 3X4
    • Copy of the Parent's ID

     
    • 1st tour is held in special ballet halls, where the committee members are getting acquainted with the applicants’ appearance, and stage, physical and professional skills.
       
    • 2nd (medical) tour is held for those applicants who have successfully passed the 1st tour. The applicants are examined in special medical centres, where the health of the applicant is examined thoroughly and body structure is determined.
       
    • 3rd tour is held for those applicants who have passed 1st and 2nd tours. The appearance, stage, physical and professional skills are evaluated finally, and in addition their artistic as well as rhythmic skills are determined.
       
      All three tours of accumulation as a result of the bidders whose data are consistent with the standards included in the budget sector of the ballet, and the other bidders if you wish to carry out studies on the non-budgetary sector.
  • A three year Art Program (From 6th to 8th grade is as follows: Ballet Dancer; Field of the Modern and Characteristic dance)

  • Enrolment is carried out as a result of the competition (by passing the tours) on the 6th grade (on above mentioned branches).

    Ballet Dancer Branch

      Those students who have accomplished the 5 year Art Program or those who have received basic education in Classical dance can be enrolled in the classes, which include the general education program from 1st to 5th grade.
       
      The statement about applicant enrolment is written by a parent (legal representative) addressed to a director of a school, with following enclosure:
       
    • Notice from the school (indicating the current grade of the student)
    • Copy of the Birth Certificate
    • Three photos 3X4
    • Copy of the Parent's ID

     
    Competition consists of 2 tours:
     
  • 1st tour is held in special ballet halls, where the committee members are getting acquainted with the applicants' appearance, and stage, physical and professional skills.
     
  • 2nd (medical)tour is held for those applicants who have successfully passed the 1st tour. The applicants are examined in special medical centres, where the health of the applicant is examined thoroughly and body structure is determined.
     
    As a result of the competition those students who satisfy the Classical Dance so-called professional demands will be enrolled in Ballet Actor/Actress branch.

  • Field of the Modern and Characteristic dance

    • Those students who accomplished 5 year Art Program at the School and have passed the relevant character dance program can be enrolled in the classes.
       
      The statement about applicant enrolment has to be written by a parent (legal representative) addressed to a director of a school, with the following attachments:
       
    • Notice from the school (indicating the current grade of the student)
    • Copy of the Birth Certificate
    • Three photos 3X4
    • Copy of the Parent's ID

     
    Competition consists of 2 tours:
     
  • 1st tour is held in special ballet halls, where the committee members are getting acquainted with the applicants' appearance and stage, physical and professional skills. Students shall demonstrate perfect knowledge of dance techniques, plastic expression, ability to convey the music character and its emotional content during the dance, coordination and artistic skills.
     
  • 2nd (medical) tour is held for those applicants who have successfully passed the 1st tour. The applicants are examined in special medical centers, where the health of the applicant is examined thoroughly and body structure is determined.
     
    Those students who satisfy so-called relevant Professional demands will be enrolled in the classes of Modern and Character dance based on the competition.

  • Non Budget Sector
    Learning on non budget sector at school is carried out in following form:
  • Preparatory Groups

    • Enrolment in the preparatory groups is carried out by passing the qualifying tour, where physical and professional skills are determined. Demands are stated by foreseeing the age of an applicant.
       
      The statement about applicant enrolment is written by a parent (legal representative) addressed to a director of a school, with following enclosure:
       
    • Health Certificate Form #100 (extract from the card)
    • Notice from the school (indicating the current grade of the student)
    • Copy of a Birth Certificate
    • Three photos 3X4
    • Copy of a Parent's ID

  • The applicants will be offered to study on non-budget sector by the committee as a result of summarizing all three tours. By the agreement of the legal representative (the agreement shall be written in form of a statement) an applicant can start studying on a first year of a non-budget sector.
     
  • Amateur Studio

    • An applicant acceptance is carried out without competition, based on the following documents:

    • Copy of a Birth Certificate
    • Three photos 3X4
    • Health Certificate
    • Copy of a Parent's or an applicant's ID
       
  • Amateur Groups

    • An applicant acceptance is carried out without competition, based on the following documents:
       
    • A certified copy of a passport (in case of a foreign student)
    • Three photos 3X4
    • Health Certificate
    • A certified agreement of a parent in case of a minor applicant (in case of a foreign student)
    • Statement of a parent (in case of a Georgian applicant)
       
  • From one month to an year study

    • An applicant acceptance is carried out without competition, based on the following documents:
       
    • A certified copy of a passport
    • Three photos 3X4
    • Health Certificate
    • A certified agreement of a parent in case of a minor applicant (in case of a foreign student)
       
  • From one to five year study

    • Admission is carried out as a result of a competition. Committee will decide the grade (from 4th to 7th year of study) in which the applicants shall be enrolled by examining their professional skills, as a result of passing the exams. Applicant shall provide following documentation:
       
    • A certified copy of a passport
    • Three photos 3X4
    • Health Certificate
    • A certified agreement of a parent in case of a minor applicant
    • A certificate proving that an applicant has gained a basic classic dance or choreographic knowledge.
       
  • External Classes

    • Acceptance of an applicant is carried out by the results of the competition committee, by presenting following documents:
       
    • A certified copy of a passport
    • Three photos 3X4
    • Health Certificate
    • A certified agreement of a parent in case of a minor applicant
    • A certificate proving that an applicant has gained a basic classic dance or choreographic knowledge.
       
  • Theatrical Studio

    • Admission will be carried out as a result of an interview and following documents:
       
    • Three photos 3X4
    • Health Certificate
    • Parents’ statement or personal statement (in case of an adult)
